New York City – Part 1

Happy Tuesday! (and happy birthday to my dad) Did you have a fabulous weekend? Recap of recent events to come, but for now:

It’s high-time I put up some photos from our New York City trip. It’s making me smile and gitty just typing this post right now. :) Cheesy….I know.

We took a red-eye on a Wednesday and got into NYC early Thursday.

SO tired here in this picture. I couldn’t WAIT for a NYC coffee.

We grabbed a bus to Grand Central station then walked over to the Time, Inc. building to grab keys from my friend Lisa. She lives on the Upper West side and her and her roommate, Lauren, so graciously let us stay with them (thanks gals!). We grabbed our first snack of the trip. A cart pretzel. Had to take a bite before the picture. I have no control. ;)

Lisa’s apartment was adorable! Loved everything about it! Including the little guy who welcomed us. I’m not a cat person (AT ALL), but Gus is so sweet.

After we settled in and freshened up, we headed out to grab some more food (duh) and make out way to Brooklyn to check out the area. :)

My “just ok” Caprese panini. Wish I would have gone with a pizza like the boy. Course I stole a lot few of bites from him. :)

The food was from a Hot & Crusty, one of our favorite deli’s in NYC.

We went walking through the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn. I loved all the little perches and nooks. I wish I was sitting, reading and drinking some coffee on them.

So adorable. :) Then we took a walk through Prospect Park. I wanted to run so bad.

And loving all the recycling bins I saw there, and an adorable community garden.

On the subway going over a bridge heading back to Manhattan.

Spring was in the city. :)

Was an amazing day excursion to Brooklyn. Next up, the engagement that night (!!)….
